Taping can provide some minor stability or positional awareness to parts of the body that we are working on, helping speed up our ability to load the joint or muscle.
Dynamic taping is a form of therapeutic taping that uses elastic tape to support and stabilize joints and muscles. This therapy can be used for a number of different reasons, including bruise reduction and for joint protection (most commonly in the ankles and wrists). However, here at Apollo, we take a more creative approach using tape to help pull your body into better positions. This can be used as a temporary solution in order to help offload certain regions of your body. Helping to reduce pain and discomfort allows us to target the specific area with strengthening exercises, and to regain full mobility in the joint in question.
